Again this year, the MySQL Team will be present both before and during FOSDEM.
FOSDEM (Free and Open source Software Developers’ European Meeting) is a large, free, non-commercial annual conference in Brussels, Belgium, where thousands of free and open-source developers and users attend different sessions and provides an opportunity for those projects to meet their users and developers.
During the two days before FOSDEM, we will hold our traditional preFOSDEM MySQL Belgian Days, an essential event for all MySQL enthusiasts!

As usual, this in-person gathering will take place at the esteemed ICAB Incubator in Belgium.
Be ready for two engaging days filled with informative sessions and valuable networking opportunities alongside fellow MySQL professionals. Our lineup of expert speakers will address topics such as database optimization, performance tuning, and the latest advancements in MySQL.
This event also offers a rare opportunity to meet MySQL Engineers and the Community Team face-to-face.
The call for papers is still open for a couple of days, and we have already received an impressive number of very interesting sessions.
We will publish the agenda as soon as possible, just after the CfP closes.
This year, Heather van Cura, Vice President at Oracle and in charge of the Java Community Process (JCP) Program and the MySQL Community, will honor us by joining us for both days
On Friday, we will conclude the event with the traditional MySQL Rockstars Awards ceremony!

The event is free, but due to limited space, registration is mandatory. Please register here.
We are also sponsoring the main social event of the weekend, the MySQL & Friends Community Dinner.
And finally, during FOSDEM, the team will have a stand on both days, where you can discuss with us and we will provide demos on demand.

You will also have the chance to get an amazing, cute Sakila!
This year, MySQL won’t have a dedicated devroom, but we are part of the main database devroom. You will also be able to listen to some MySQL sessions.
See you soon in Belgium!
